Exempla Healthcare consists of 3 hospitals and a network of clinics throughout the Denver metro area. It is a not-for-profit, community based organization sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System. Operating 1,176 beds, Exempla is affiliated with Kaiser Permanente.
Just Associates completed several MPI data analysis and reconciliation projects for Exempla. Additionally, we identified the source of many significant data integrity problems and we instructed Exempla staff on how to resolve these issues. Exempla was using Meditech for their patient access functions and was implementing Epic for all information systems applications.
We assessed their patient identity data capture process, and the accuracy of their data exchange and integration. We also assisted Exempla in the selection of an EMPI system by creating a detailed EMPI requirements document for use in their RFP process. This helped Exempla to select the EMPI system that best met their needs.
